The Melbourne University Underwater Club offers SCUBA diving courses for all experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced divers.
Our main priority is safety. We want everyone to feel safe, supported, and comfortable while learning to dive. We always endeavour to create a calm and encouraging learning environment, and divemasters may occasionally join sessions to assist with training and help make sure everyone feels confident underwater.
Offered Courses
Beginner Level
If you’ve never dived before, this is where you start. You’ll learn the basics like:
- How to use diving equipment
- How to breathe and move underwater
- Basic safety and dive skills
Advanced Level
For certified divers who want to build experience and confidence. Topics may include: *
- Underwater navigation
- Deeper diving skills
- Rescue and safety techniques
Professional Level
Become a dive professional! MUUC offers Divemaster and Instructor training enabling you to begin your teaching or research careers in scuba.
