What experience level do I need?

All levels are welcome — from complete beginners to experienced divers.

What if I’ve never dived before?

That’s fine — we’ll help you get started through training and introductory dives. Come either to a meet up on Thursday or contact us directly!

Do you run diving courses?

Yes. We offer beginner, intermediate, and technical training through qualified instructors. Safety is a priority throughout all courses, with Dive Masters occassionally supporting training sessions to guide learning and ensure a safe experience.

Is it safe?

Safety is our top priority. All dives include detailed briefings, buddy systems, and supervision from experienced dive leaders. Our training courses are designed to support beginners, with Dive Masters assisting to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

I haven't dived a while does that matter?

Not at all. Many divers take breaks from diving, and we welcome people returning to the water after time away. We recommend letting us know your experience level and how long it has been since your last dive so we can help you feel comfortable and safe and we can go from there.

Where do you dive?

We dive across Victoria including Port Phillip Bay area (including Rye, Blairgowrie,Flinders, St Leonards to name a few!),, Phillip Island, Wilsons Promontory, Mount Gambier, and other locations depending on conditions and trip planning.

Yes, we have gear available for hire, including tanks, BCDs, and wetsuits (conditions apply).

Costs vary depending on the trip, location, and equipment hire. We aim to keep diving affordable for students and members.

I don't have a car. Can I still come along?

Of course! Our trip organisers will try to arrange car pooling and on most trips we are able to find a driver willing to do so. Occassionally, people hire a car and car pool together.

Do you do snorkelling or free diving?

While we are primarily a SCUBA diving club, we do occasionally organise snorkelling trips for members to enjoy. At this stage, due to university safety requirements and regulations, we are unfortunately unable to offer freediving activities or courses through the club.
