About Us

The Melbourne University Underwater Club’s primary mission is to make SCUBA diving affordable and accessible to students and the wider community.

We run dives almost every weekend to the Port Phillip Bay Heads, with regular trips organised further afield for those looking to explore more of Victoria’s incredible diving. The club also offers a range of beginner, intermediate, and technical diving courses for individuals wanting to start or continue their SCUBA journey.

Established for almost 50 years, the club has built a strong and welcoming community of divers from all backgrounds and experience levels. As a volunteer-run university club, we aim to create an environment where members can learn, gain confidence, and share their passion for the underwater world in a safe and supportive setting.

Beyond diving, members regularly come together for movie nights, workshops, social events, and other activities that help strengthen the community both in and out of the water. Whether you are trying diving for the first time, looking to develop technical skills, or simply wanting to meet like-minded people, MUUC offers a place to explore, learn, and belong.
